On-the-Job Training programs are the perfect match between job seekers and employers because it offers an opportunity for applicants to learn new job skills while engaged in productive work for employers. In turn, an employer can be reimbursed for up to fifty percent of an OJT trainee's wages, depending on the employer's own evaluation of the applicant's skills at the time of the employment interview. The employer may also be reimbursed for the trainee's wages for up to six months based upon the job description & complexity of training.
For many employers, the OJT program often means the difference between hiring additional staff or remaining understaffed. The OJT program provides a pool of motivated, trainable applicants without affecting the employer's bottom line. Because all applicants are thoroughly assessed by WorkForce Essentials' experienced career counselors and staff before they are referred to an OJT employer, the employer can feel confident that the applicant will be fully capable of learning the job and becoming a productive company employee upon completion of training. |
