Driver Education Classes
WorkForce Essentials provides quality Driver Education Classes that are especially popular with teenage 'new' drivers. Classes are regularly scheduled, featuring either a four consecutive Saturday (4 weeks) or Accelerated 4 or 5 day format*, and are currently held in Ashland City, Clarksville, Dickson, Franklin, Gallatin, Hendersonville, Lebanon, and Springfield, TN. The program is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Safety and consists of 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.
Here's what you need to know…
| When | New classes are regularly scheduled—year round. |
| Age | Must be 15 or older. A learner's permit is not necessary. |
| Where | Classes are offered in Ashland City, Clarksville, Dickson, Franklin, Gallatin, Hendersonville, Lebanon, and Springfield, TN. |
| Classes | Consist of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of individual driving. If you've already taken a portion of WorkForce Essentials' driver education class in high school, we offer 'optional' 15 hour classes in some locations. |

| Cost | $375 for 30 hour class or $250 for 15 hour optional class/per student. |
| Insurance Rates | Most insurance companies offer discounts for course completion. Often the initial cost is recovered in one-year's premium savings. Contact your agent for more information. |
| Certificate | Each student that completes the course satisfactorily will receive a certificate. The course meets all requirements for insurance discounts. |
| TN Driver's License | At the completion of the course, students may take the written and/or road test with us for the TN Driver's License or Permit, if they qualify. |
Written Test—age 15, Road Test—age 16 or within 90 days of 16th birthday.

This course is for those students who have completed the 15 hour partial course as a part of their high school wellness class. This class is only available to students that attend Wilson and Cheatham County High Schools. The reduced hour course lets students complete the remaining classroom hours (15) and 6 hours of individual driving that are required for the certified driver education program.
